Step 1

To unlock the doors, you only need to have the remote control electronic key on your person outside the car and be within two metres of either front door.

Step 2

To unlock the car, simply press the button on the door handle and pull the handle to open the door.

Step 3

Pressing once on the button on the driver side door will unlock only that door. If you press again within five seconds, all doors will unlock. If you press the button on the passenger side door, all doors will unlock.

Step 4

To lock the doors upon leaving the car, press the button on the door handle or the lock button on the remote control electronic key.

Step 5

The electronic key can be configured to unlock only the driver's door or all doors when you press the button on the door handle or the electronic key. It can also be configured to automatically lock the doors after eight seconds upon leaving the car.

How do I start and stop my Spark using the Sensor Key System?

Step 1

To start the engine, the key must be inside the vehicle.

Step 2

For automatic transmission models, make sure the transmission shift lever is in Park (P) and press the brake pedal. Then press the START/STOP button on the lower dash to the left of the steering wheel to start the car. A green LED in the button will be illuminated and the engine will start.

Step 3

For manual transmission models, make sure the gear shift lever is in neutral and press the clutch pedal. Then press the START/STOP button on the lower dash to the left of the steering wheel to start the car. A green LED in the button will be illuminated and the engine will start.

Step 4

To stop the engine when the car is stationary, press the START/STOP button on the dash. For Automatic transmission models, the transmission must be in Park (P) for the ignition to turn off.

Step 5

To use the accessory power mode, press the START/STOP button without pressing the clutch and/or brake pedal. In this mode, an amber LED in the START/STOP button is illuminated and it releases the steering wheel lock and allows some electrical functions. The accessory power mode will automatically switch off after five minutes.

Step 1

If the battery of the electronic key is weak or the remote control fails, you can use the mechanical key to unlock the car using the driver’s door only. Press the button on the side of the remote control Sensor Key to slide out the mechanical key blade.

Step 2

Place the key into the lock in the driver’s side door handle and turn it clockwise to unlock the door. Note that unlocking the door using the mechanical key does not deactivate the Anti-Theft Alarm System so once the door is unlocked, press the button on the car door handle to deactivate the system.

Step 3

To start the engine, place the remote control Sensor Key in the transmitter pocket in the centre console next to the handbrake. Make sure the transmission shift lever is in Park (P) or Neutral (N) and depress the brake pedal. Then press the Engine Start/Stop button on the centre console.

Step 4

To stop the engine when the vehicle is stationary, press the Engine Start/Stop button on the centre console and remove the remote control Sensor Key from the transmitter pocket. This start/stop option should only be used in an emergency and the Sensor Key battery should be replaced as soon as possible.

Step 5

To lock the car when leaving, lock all doors except the driver’s door from inside by pressing down the locking knob. Once outside the car, place the key into the lock in the driver’s side door handle and turn it anti-clockwise to lock the driver’s door.

How do I use Rear Park Assist?

Step 1

Your Holden is fitted with ultrasonic sensors in the rear bumper to assist in parking by measuring the distance between the rear of the car and any objects in the way. When an object is detected, the Parking Assist system provides an audible warning and a visual image on the Driver Information Centre (DIC) display in the instrument cluster.

Step 2

The rear sensors are automatically activated when Reverse (R) gear is selected. After the gearshift lever is moved out of Reverse, the system is automatically deactivated.

Step 3

If the system detects an object behind the car as you reverse, you will hear warning beeps that increase in frequency as the car gets closer to the object. If the distance is less than 40cm, a continuous beep sounds.

Step 4

You can manually deactivate the Parking Assist system by accessing the SETTINGS menu of the Holden MyLink system. Select Vehicle from the menu, then Collision / Detection and choose Park Assist to turn it off or on.

FAQs

Side Blind Zone Alert did not alert me to an object in my Blind Zone?

Side Blind Zone Alert will not report an object if the difference in speed between your vehicle and object of interest exceeds 16kph. If your vehicle is being overtaken, you will not receive an alert if the difference in speed is 65kph or greater.

What can I use the rear USB port for located on the back of the centre console?

The rear USB port is only for charging USB devices.

Side Blind Zone Alert is not working?

If you are not receiving Side Blind Zone Alerts, check the feature is not turned off through the radio customisation menu. If the feature is on, ensure the rear bumper is clean of any dirt or mud as this can prevent the alerts from activating. Any damage to the rear bumper where the radar is located can also cause false or no alerts.
